CLASSES
Windsurfing
We offer classes for all levels of windsurfing and for all ages with certified windsurfing instructors, who are pleased to pass on their knowledge and passion for this sport. Classes are held in small groups - if you prefer a one-to-one coaching you can also book your private lesson. We are teaching in German and in English.
Do not forget to bring sunscreen, swimwear and a towel with you. We recommend you to bring neoprene shoes as well. On cooler days we provide wetsuits for all students. Life jackets are also available for you. Please note that swimming skills are required to participate in any of our courses.
Dates and schedules: From April to June courses take place at the weekends and on public holidays. From July to August courses take place every day. Courses usually start at 10:00 a.m., afternoon courses start at 2:00 p.m. The minimum number of participants required is three. In case there are fewer participants, the courses are shortened or held as private classes. Meeting point is at our Surf- und Segelschule Nordstrand.

Besides our regular courses we organize windsurf camps and courses with special focuses such as advanced and freestyle camps or ladies’ windsurf camps. The next dates are to be announced. For schools we offer special school sport courses.

Trial Days::
You want to try out windsurfing?
Join our practically oriented 3-hours-course. We teach in small groups. After a brief theoretical introduction on windsurf basics, you already start to practise on the water with a certified instructor. The windsurfing equipment is available for you all day for further free practice.
You want to continue after your trial day? You can start with a trial day and upgrade to a 2-, 3- or 4- day course if you enjoyed your first windsurfing experience.

The Package:: basic windsurfing course and free rental for the whole summer
You just started surfing and fell in love with this sport? The package is the right choice for enthusiastic beginners who want to practice their new learned skills and make fast progress. It includes a 5 day basic windsurfing course and free rental of the basic windsurfing equipment for the rest of the season. We will be there to support you with your surfing progress.

Intermediate Course::
You have a basic windsurfing licence and want to improve your surfing skills?
This course is the right choice for windsurfers who already have basic skilles and want to improve their abilities. Focus is on the fast tack and jibe, heli tack and on your progress from basic windsurfing equipment to advanced equipment. The course includes 3 classes per day and free use of the intermediate windsurfing equipment the whole day. You can choose from 1 to 5-day courses. The 5 day course includes one additional day of equipment rental. Dates: up from April 2022. Schedule: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Trial Afternoon::
For those who like to sleep late
For those who cannot make it to the morning classes, we offer an afternoon course starting at 2:00 p.m. After two hours of practically oriented classes with a certified instructor, the windsurf equipment is at your disposal for the rest of the day for free practice. For groups larger than three people, different course hours can be scheduled.

Intensive Basic Course::
windsurfing license in only two days
In this intensive-beginner’s-course you learn all basic skills of windsurfing. At the end of the course you can take the exam for the basic license. With this internationally recognized windsurfing license you are able to rent windsurf equipment at any rental base.
The windsurfing equipment is at your disposal for free practice outside of teaching hours on days of classes.
Schedule: Saturday and Sunday; starting at 10 a.m.

Windsurf Basic Course::
International basic windsurf licence?
In this 15 hours-beginner’s-course you learn all basic skills of windsurfing. At the end of the course you can take the exam for the basic license. With this internationally recognized windsurfing license you are able to rent windsurf equipment at any rental base.
The windsurfing equipment is at your disposal for free practice outside of teaching hours on days of classes and on one additional day after completing the course.

Refresher Course:: basic skills but you
want to improve our refresh?
You have already visited a basic course but this was a long time ago? This course is the right choice for windsurfers who want to refresh the basic abilities. The course includes 3 classes per day and free use of the windsurfing equipment on days of the course. You can choose from 1 to 4-day courses.

Kids' Courses
For children from 8 to 12 years we offer special kids’ courses. Younger children interested in windsurfing can take private classes. Girls and boys have fun, make new friends, exercise outdoors in the fresh air and learn a watersport! The kids are taught basic skills of windsurfing in a playful way. We teach with a windsurfing equipment especially created for kids. The sails are inflatable and lighter than regular sails and thus easier for kids to pull out of the water. The boards have less volume than regular beginner boards and are very responsive. Therefore they are easier to turn and to maneuver. The rental equipment is included in all course prices.
Dates: from May - September everyday
Requirements: swimming skills, minimum age 8, registration for the course. Do not forget to bring sunscreen, swimwear and a towel. For the cooler days we provide wetsuits.

Kids Trial Day::
Learn how to surf!
Kids gain a first windsurfing experience. An upgrade to a 2-day course or the 5-day basic course is possible if they enjoy and want to continue with surfing classes.

Private Class for Kids::
for Kids younger than 8 years
For kids younger than 8 years who are interested in surfing we offer private classes. Private classes are possible any time upon request.
Requirements: Swimming skills
Price: € 74 (including equipment rental); for an additional participant we charge an additional fee of € 12 and the rental fee for the additional equipment. Max. 2 participants.
July/August
Kids' Basic Course::
Learning in a fun environment
15-hours course for beginners. In a fun environment together with other kids, children are learning the basic skills of windsurfing. In the end of the course kids can take a little exam to acquire the Junior- windsurfing licence.
Dates and schedule: During the holidays from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 13:30 p.m.

Summer Camps::
Windsurfing and other watersports
Windsurfing camp from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Camp is suited for beginners, and surfers with slight prior knowledge from 8 to 14 years . Kids can learn windsurfing in a fun environment and meet new friends. Stand Up Paddling, pedal boat, kayak, ball games and many more fun activities are also on the programm.
Included: 15 windsurfing classes, other watersport and games, supervision of our team of certified and experienced instructors around the clock, lunch (meal and a drink)

Advanced Courses
This courses are the right choice for advanced surfers who can go upwind without any struggle and want to improve their skills and learn new maneuvers. Based on your individual level you can learn beach start, water start, planning, power jibe, or how to surf with harness and foot straps. Minimum participants required: 3. If there are fewer participants, the courses are shortened or held as private classes. Our advanced courses are dependent on wind conditions. A minimum of 3 Bft (approximately 10 knots) is required for the course to take place.
The rental of advanced windsurfing equipment is included. At our windsurfing station you can find the right equipment for all wind conditions and every level of windsurfing. We provide you with the latest sails and boards from the brands Duotone and Fanatic. You can choose between a broad range of types (freeride, freestyle, race or wave) and sizes. Wetsuit and harness are also available for you if needed.

Advanced coaching::
1-day or 2-day training?

Private Classes
Private classes allow students to make fast and visible progress in a short time. The class is tailored to your individual wishes and requirements. Teaching hours are flexible upon agreement. Equipment rental, wetsuit and harness are all included. You can also bring your own equipment if you wish.

Private Class::
Professional one-to-one coaching
If you want to plan your time more flexible or you want to practice particular maneuvers, a private training is a good choice for you. Private classes are possible any time upon request and are suitable for all ages and all windsurfing skills. Equipment rental is included. At our windsurfing station you can find the right equipment for all wind conditions and every level of windsurfing. Wetsuit and harness are also available for you.
Price: € 74, including equipment rental, for additional participants we charge a fee of € 12/person+ the rental fee for the additional equipment
