CLASSES
Windsurfing
We offer classes for all levels of windsurfing and for all ages. Our certified windsurfing instructors are pleased to pass on their knowledge and passion for this sport. Classes are held in small groups - if you prefer one-to-one coaching you can also book your private lessons. We teach in German and English.
Don't forget to bring sunscreen, swimwear and a towel with you. We recommend you to bring neoprene shoes as well. On cooler days we provide wetsuits for all students and life jackets are also available. Please note that swimming skills are required to participate in any of our courses.
Dates and schedules: From April to June our courses take place on the weekends and on public holidays. Courses take place every day from July to September. Our regular courses for beginners, refreshers and intermediates start at 10:00 a.m., with a duration of 3 hours. Afternoon courses start at 2:00 p.m. with a duration of 2 hours. After class, the students can use the surf equipment for further practice for the rest of the course day. For enthusiastic beginners who want to progress quickly, we also offer a package consisting of a 5-day basic course followed by equipment rental for the remainder of the season.
​The minimum number of participants required is three. In the case of fewer participants, the courses are shortened or held as private classes. Meeting point is at our Surf- und Segelschule Nordstrand.​ Please note that the beach entrance fee is not included in our course pricing and needs to be paid separately.

FlexiBreeze System
The course days do not need to be consumed consecutively but can be flexibly divided after consultation. To achieve the greatest learning progress possible, it is recommended to attend the course days in close succession. If weather or wind conditions don't suit your course, the course can easily be postponed.

WSVO Windsurfing Basic License
Many surf stations require a basic license to prove basic surfing knowledge and to be able to rent windsurfing equipment. Our 5-day basic courses and 2-day intensive courses can be completed with the internationally recognized WSVO Windsurfing License after passing a small theory exam. Depending on the learning process and individual skills, the license can also be obtained after a 4-day course. For children aged 8 to 12 years, a Junior Windsurfing License can be issued after attending a 5-day Children's Basic Course.
Please let us know upon course entry if you are interested in obtaining a windsurfing license, so we have sufficient time to prepare you for the theoretical part as well.
In addition to our regular courses, we organize surf camps and courses with special focus, including children's windsurf camps, advanced camps, harness training, windsurf ladies' camps, and freestyle camps. The upcoming dates will be announced on our website and our social media channels.
We offer special School Sports Courses for school groups.

Trial Days::
Want to try out windsurfing?
Join our practice oriented 3-hour course! We teach in small groups. After a brief theoretical introduction to windsurf basics, you will start practicing on the water with a certified instructor. After class, you can practice with the windsurfing equipment for the rest of the day.
Want to continue with the course after your trial day? If you enjoyed your first windsurfing experience you can upgrade to a 2-, 3-, 4- day or to the basic beginner course.

Intermediate Course::
You have a basic windsurfing licence and want to improve your surfing skills?
This course is the right choice for windsurfers who already have basic skills and want to improve their abilities. Focus is on the fast tack and jibe, heli tack and on your progress from basic windsurfing equipment to advanced equipment. The course includes 3 classes per day and one additional hour of free practice with the intermediate windsurfing equipment. You can choose from a 1-to-5-day course. The 5 day course includes one additional day of equipment rental.

Trial Afternoon::
For those who like to sleep late
For those who cannot make it to the morning classes, we offer an afternoon course starting at 2:00 p.m. After two hours of practice oriented classes with a certified instructor, the windsurf equipment is at your disposal for the rest of the day. For groups larger than three people, different course hours can be scheduled.

Intensive Basic Course::
windsurfing license in only two days
In this intensive-beginner's-course you learn all the basic skills of windsurfing. At the end of the course you take the basic license exam. With this internationally recognized windsurfing license you will be able to rent windsurfing equipment at any rental base of your choice.
The windsurfing equipment is at your disposal for free practice after teaching hours on days of classes.

The windsurfing equipment is at your disposal for free practice outside of teaching hours on days of classes and on one additional day after completing the course.

Refresher Course:: basic skills but you
want to improve our refresh?
You took a basic course long ago? This course is the right choice for windsurfers who want to refresh their basic abilities. The course includes 3 classes per day and free use of the windsurfing equipment on the days of the course. You can choose from 1 to 5-day courses.

Kids' Courses
For children aged between 8 and 12 years we offer special kids' courses. Younger children interested in windsurfing can take private classes. Girls and boys are having fun, making new friends, exercising outdoors in the fresh air and learning to play watersport The kids are taught the basics of windsurfing in a playful way. We teach with windsurfing equipment specially created for kids. The sails are inflatable and lighter than regular sails and thus easier for kids to pull out of the water. The boards have less volume than regular beginner boards and are very responsive. This makes them easier to turn and to maneuver.

Requirements: Swimming skills, minimum age 8. For younger kids we offer private classes. Don't forget to bring sunscreen, swimwear and a towel. We also recommend bathing shoes. We will provide wetsuits if needed. Equipment is included in all course pricing, as well as wetsuits if needed. Entrance fees to the beach area are not included and will have to be paid separately at the ticket office next to the beach entrance.

First Windsurfing Experience
Kids are getting their first windsurfing experience. An upgrade to more trial days or a 5-day basic course is possible if they enjoy and want to continue with surfing classes.

Private Class for Kids::
for Kids younger than 8 years
For kids younger than 8 years who are interested in surfing, we offer private classes to teach them to surf. Private classes are possible anytime upon request.

Kids' Basic Course::
Learn how to surf!
15-hour course for beginners. In a fun environment with other kids, kids learn the basics of windsurfing. At the end of the course they can take a short exam to acquire a junior windsurfing license.

Summer Camp::
Windsurfing and other watersports
Windsurfing camp from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Camp is suited for beginners and surfers with slight prior knowledge (from 8 to 12 years). Kids can learn to surf in a fun environment and meet new friends. Stand Up Paddling, pedal boats, kayak games, and many more fun activities are also on the schedule.
Included: 15 windsurfing classes, other watersports and games on land, supervision of our team of certified and experienced instructors around the clock, lunch (meal and a drink)

Advanced Courses
These courses are the right choice for advanced surfers who know how to go upwind without struggling, and want to improve their skills and learn new maneuvers. Based on your individual level you can learn beach start, water start, power jibe, or how to surf with harness and foot straps. Our advanced courses are dependent on wind conditions. A minimum of 3 bft (approximately 10 knots) is required for the course to take place.
The windsurfing equipment is included in the pricing. At our windsurfing station you can find the right equipment for all wind conditions and every level of windsurfing. We provide you with the latest sails and boards from the brands Duotone and Fanatic. You can choose between a broad range of types and sizes. Wetsuits and harnesses are also available for you if needed.

To the Next Level::
Coaching for advanced windsurfers
Two hours of coaching, where you can learn how to beach start, water start, Power Jibe, how to surf with a harness and foot straps. We provide you with the latest windsurf equipment from Duotone and Fanatic and with a wetsuit and harness if needed.

Professional one-to-one coaching
If you want to plan your time more flexibly, or you want to practice specific maneuvers, private coaching is a good option. Private classes are possible anytime upon request and are suitable for all ages and all windsurfing skills. Equipment rental is included. At our windsurfing station you can find the right equipment for all wind conditions and every level of windsurfing. Wetsuits and harnesses are also available for you if needed.
